The Franklin is an absolute beauty of a stove which would make a practical feature in your home while adding value to your property. This stove burns wood, coal, smokeless fuel and peat and is capable of kicking out heat to a maximum of 65,000btu (approx 22kw). The Franklin Stove featured currently on TV`s Monarch of the Glen and many Xmas cards was originally designed in 1790 by Benjamin Franklin one of the American Founding Fathers. His concept was to design a fire which omitted twice as much heat while using only a quarter of the fuel. The Franklin design has passed the trial of time remaining today one of the most elegant of stoves. Height: 31 inches Width: at front 33 inches reducing to 25 at rear. Depth:15 inches burning capacity with an 8 inch cast iron hearth plate. Optional Top or Rear Flue Diameter 8 inches with internal damper plate.
